Question: Data Import Tools + My Construction Use Case
Question: Data Import Tools + My Construction Use Case

I read posts here about data migration, backup tools, and software solutions from your community they are very helpful for managing business data correctly. I want to ask: what tools do you use for importing large data sets securely and reliably (especially when data includes complex records, many fields, and nested tables)? Do you prefer manual import, or some automated migration utility? For me, besides software business I also work in construction I often need to prepare quotes, takeoff lists, and material estimations. I run a roof takeoff service, so data integrity and accuracy is very important when I export or import project estimations (materials, dimensions, quantities). I wonder if anyone has suggestion about best practices when using database or spreadsheet import/export tools for project‑based data (costs, material lists, structural details), to avoid data loss or corruption. Thank you for any advice!
